2 players removed from basketball team for hazing

Two Grace High School basketball players have been removed from the team following a hazing incident.

Grace Superintendent Jamie Holyoak tells Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News 3 the two players were removed from the team immediately after hearing about the incident.

Law enforcement was involved, and no charges are being pressed.

An investigation was made, and players were reminded of hazing policies and assault.

Cameras have been placed on buses when the team travels to monitor what happens.

The two players removed from the team are on a six weeks probation period.

They will have to regain the trust of teammates and prove they belong on the team.

Holyoak says after the restitution made by the former players, it is not guaranteed they will have a spot on the team.

**Correction: The probation period was originally reported as a six month period.
