One found dead at scene of house fire

One person was found dead at a home in the 300 block of Short Street Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called at 6:18 a.m. on report of a person who had suffered cardiac arrest. First-responders found the person who reported the incident and learned that there was a deceased person inside. There was also evidence of a fire in the home that appeared to be out.

The Idaho Falls Detectives Bureau and Fire Department are actively investigating the incident.

The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
