IF man killed in US 20 accident

An Idaho Falls man was killed while changing a flat tire at around 12:41 a.m. Sunday on US 20.

Idaho State Police said Manuel Sanzon, 20, of Idaho Falls was stopped on the right shoulder of the eastbound lane near County Line Road, in Bonneville County. He was changing the left front tire on a 19997 Hyundai Tiburon. His passenger, Israel Dewey, 18, of Idaho Falls was standing nearby.

Kelsy Johnson, 26, of Rigby, was driving eastbound in a 2017 Toyota Rav 4.

ISP said Johnson struck both men who were outside the vehicle.

Sanzon was pronounced dead at the scene. Dewey was not hospitalized.

The highway was blocked for about three and a half hours.
