Most of us are waking up to a winter wonderland today, and that is expected to continue through Christmas. A Northwest flow will bring additional snow this morning for the western Central Mountains where an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is likely. Plus, expect an additional 1 to 5 inches of snow for the Snake River Plain, Caribou Highlands, and the Eastern Highlands this morning into the afternoon. In addition, the models do show 1 to 3 inches for the Southern Highlands and the Central mountains early this evening. Christmas morning more snow will move into the area and we could see around 2 to 6 inches of snow. A winter weather Advisory is in effect for the Snake River Plain and the Mountains. Please use extra caution when you are traveling tonight and on Christmas Day.
