Traffic now moving through I-86 crash scene

UPDATE 4:15 p.m.: All lanes of an I-86 crash are now open following a fiery crash.

Police say a truck carrying milk and a truck hauling 3 hay trailers collided near milepost 39 in American Falls.

Police say the driver of the milk truck was trying to pass the hay truck when snow and hay blew off hitting the milk truck’s windshield. That blinded his view and hit the back trailer of the hay truck.

No was injured in the crash.

Traffic was diverted for about 4 hours through American Falls while crews cleaned up the wreckage.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A truck accident is blocking westbound traffic on Interstate 86 at American Falls.

The accident is said to be at milepost 39 between the two exits in American Falls and traffic is being diverted through town.

It’s unknown at this time if there are any injuries and exactly what is involved. Photos show a semi carrying a tanker caught fire. A truck hauling hay may also be involved rolled over in the median.
