1 killed, 1 hospitalized in crash

UPDATE 2:50 p.m. Idaho State Police report a 74-year-old was killed and an 18-year-old was transported to the hospital after a crash on US 30 at milepost 361 in McCammon around 10:00 a.m. Monday.

ISP reports Taylor Kollmann, 18, of Pocatello, was traveling westbound on US30 in a 2000 Ford Explorer, and H. William Landfair, 74, of Georgetown, was traveling eastbound in a 2014 Dodge Caravan.

Kollmann lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway, causing her to cross the center of the roadway where she collided head-on with Landfair.

Landfair succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

A ground ambulance transported Kollmann to Portneuf Medical Center.

ISP reports all drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

Both eastbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 3 hours.

Officers report both eastbound lanes are currently blocked.

ISP says to use caution in the area.
