The Seventh Judicial District is considering ten applications as candidates for District Judge. The selected candidate would replace Judge Greg Moeller of Rexburg, who stepped down to join the Idaho Supreme Court this month.

The ten nominees are:

Idaho Falls private attorney Jared Allen. 7th District Magistrate Judge James Barrett, Jr., of Challis. Senior Deputy Public Defender for Twin Falls County Samuel S. Beus, of Twin Falls. 7th District Magistrate Judge Steven Boyce, of Idaho Falls. Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Clark. Ammon Mayor and private attorney Sean Coletti. Canyon County Public Defender Scott Davis, of Caldwell. 7th District Magistrate Judge Michelle Radford Mallard, of Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls private attorney Kipp Manwaring. And, Blackfoot private attorney Manuel T. Murdoch.

The public now has an opportunity to comment on the nominees. According to its questionnaire, the candidates will be reviewed for integrity, moral courage, legal ability, legal experience, intelligence, and wisdom.

The returned public questionnaires will be accepted through February 8.
