Crash kills 2 near Pinedale

Two people were killed in a crash on US 191 north of Pinedale. Wyoming Highway Patrol Troopers were called to milepost 191 at around 4:35 p.m. Monday.

According to troopers, a 2010 Toyota Yaris was northbound when it crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2006 Subaru Forester.

The Subaru driver, 62-year-old Mary Menster, of Pinedale, Wyoming was transported by helicopter to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, where she died of injuries sustained in the crash.

The Toyota driver, Marion D. Robinson, 44, of Bedford, Wyoming died at the scene of the crash. A male passenger in his car was transported to St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson, where he was treated and released.

According to the Highway Patrol, sun glare and lane use were contributing factors to the crash.
