Local church and groups team up with INL to give away clothes to community members in need

Local groups and organizations got together today to hand out clothes to family members in need.

About three months ago the New Day Lutheran Church in Idaho falls received a phone call from team INL. A team member from the Idaho national laboratory told the church that they had a bunch of clothes in storage units that they collected for underprivileged families in the community and asked if they would host their clothes give away. The church agreed and when word of the event got around, other local organizations that cater to individuals in need asked if they could participate in the event as well. Pastor Gina Herman at New Day Lutheran Church says, “We realized that one of the biggest needs in the community is connecting the homeless and the underprivileged with resources that they really need.” This was the first time that the church hosted this event and was impressed with the turn out that they will plan to make this into an annual benefit.
