Sen. Mark Nye visits Pocatello for official Town Hall Meeting

Boise lawmakers visited Pocatello City Hall this morning. Senator Mark Nye met with Bannock County Democrats along with community members for an official town hall meeting.

He spoke on various state-wide issues including upcoming legislative proposals. He also talked about the funding for public education as well a the implementation of Prop 2. He was adamite about working towards putting Medicaid expansion into full effect as soon as possible.

“My main thing is to try to get Medicaid expansion adopted… We call it a ‘clean bill’ without any conditions. That’s the way the people wanted it, that’s the way they passed it and it’s now the law and it shall happen.”
