Snow and slush cause slippery roads

Wyoming 22, Teton Pass, is now open to all traffic in both directions.

Wyoming Department of Transportation reports US 26 from Jackson to Moran Junction is open to all traffic in both directions.

Update 11:25 a.m. – The left lane of I-15 northbound is open to traffic. Traffic is moving slow.

ITD says Interstate 15 northbound between Malad and Downey is closed because of a crash. The crash is located near mile marker 20.

Snow and slush are causing slick roads across eastern Idaho and western Wyoming Monday morning.

The Idaho State Police said drivers should slow down so you don’t end up in the ditch.

The Teton Pass between Victor and Wilson is closed this morning for avalanche control. It closed at 5 a.m. and expected to be closed for 5 to 8 hours, officials at the Wyoming Transportation said. US 26/89 between the south boundary of Grand Teton National Park to Moran Junction is closed because of the weather.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department’s 511 road report, most roads in the are categorized as difficult.

A few accidents were reported in the area.

A car slid off of US 20 this morning near mile marker 313. No one was injured.

Soda Springs and Montpelier saw 4 to 5 inches of snow Monday morning. Idaho Falls and Pocatello saw between 1 and 1 1/2 inches of snow.

Rain showers are expected to move into the area later Monday afternoon turning to snow overnight.

Forecasters say we could see icy roads again on Tuesday morning.
