Winter Weather Advisories issued for tonight

Another round of snow Monday night, has triggered a Winter Weather Advisory for the Upper Snake River Plain, including the cities of Idaho Falls and Rexburg. Advisories have also been issued for the southeast Caribou Highlands, Western Wyoming and the Arco Desert.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM MST TUESDAY

* WHAT…Light to Moderate snow will develop over the Upper Snake

River Plain later this evening and continue into the early

morning hours Tuesday. Plan on slippery road conditions Tuesday

morning. Snow accumulations of up to two inches are expected.

* WHERE…Upper Snake River Plain mainly north of Idaho Falls

along the Highway 20 corridor.

* WHEN…Starting later this evening and continuing through 3 AM

MST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for reduced visibilities at

times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will

cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered

roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM MST TUESDAY for the Centennial Mountains – Island Park-Beaverhead – Lemhi Highlands-

Including the cities of Island Park, Dubois.

* WHAT…Periods of moderate snow redeveloping tonight. Plan on

slippery road conditions. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to

7 inches are expected.

* WHERE…Beaverhead and Centennial Mountains from Spencer to

Island Park.

Arco/Mud Lake Desert-Lost River Valley-Challis/Pahsimeroi Valleys-

Wood River Foothills-

Including the cities of Mud Lake, Arco, Mackay, Chilly, Challis,

Hailey, Bellevue, and Picabo

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM MST TUESDAY…

* WHAT…Periods of moderate snow tonight. Plan on slippery road

conditions. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are

expected.

* WHERE…Bellevue to Craters of the Moon to Mud Lake, including

Willow Creek Summit.

* WHEN…Redeveloping later this evening and continuing through 3

AM MST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for reduced visibilities at

times.

Bear River Range-Bear Lake Valley-Blackfoot Mountains-

Caribou Range-Big Hole Mountains-

Including the cities of Preston, Montpelier, Soda Springs, Henry,

Bone, and Victor

* WHAT…Periods of moderate snow. Plan on slippery road

conditions, especially Tuesday morning. Additional snow

accumulations of 3 to 5 inches in the valleys and 6 to 10 inches

in the mountains and across mountain passes.

* WHERE…Southeast mountain ranges.

* WHEN…Continuing through 3 PM MST Tuesday.
