Colder air on the way

A few snow showers and flurries for tonight and the overnight hours into Wednesday. Most of the snow tonight, will be focused into the SE highlands towards Soda Springs, Bear Lake, Preston and Lava Hot Springs. Winds out of Montana and winds from the southwest will converge on the lower Snake River Plain for Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. With the convergence zone, we could see a couple more inches of fresh snowfall for the lower Plain. Much colder air moves in for Thursday & Friday, before anther shot at snow arrives late Saturday.

Tonight: Isolated snow showers, Mostly cloudy, with a low into the teens for the Snake River Plain. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: A chance of snow with a mostly cloudy sky. Highs into the mid to upper 20’s. SW winds 10 to 15 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible. Wednesday Night, scattered snow, with a low into the teens.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow, mostly cloudy with highs near 20°.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with highs into the upper 20’s.
