UPDATE: Here is a list of closures for Friday, February 8:

Ririe School District #252 will be closed on Friday, Feb. 8. due to illness. Blackfoot School District #55 will be closed Friday, February 8 for illness. You can read the full letter from Superintendent Brian Kress HERE. West Jefferson School District closed school Friday, February 8 due to illness. Chief Tahgee Elementary Academy at Ft. Hall will be closed Friday, February 8 due to illness. Teton School District 401 will be closed Friday, February 8 due to illness.

Idaho State University will have a delayed start Thursday on the Pocatello campus.

All classes starting before 10 a.m. are canceled.

Normal campus operations and schedules will begin at 10 a.m.

All other ISU campuses have normal operations and schedules.

Closures due to illness:

Blackfoot School District #55 will be closed Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8 for illness. You can read the full letter from Superintendent Brian Kress HERE. Bingham Acadamy and Blackfoot Charter School are also closed Thursday due to illness. Idaho Science and Technology will be closed on Thursday, February 7. Snake River School District will close all schools on Thursday, February 7 due to illness. Officials say all buildings will be given a thorough cleaning on Thursday in hopes to reduce contagions in the building. West Jefferson School District closed school Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8 due to illness. Chief Tahgee Elementary Academy at Ft. Hall will be closed February 7 and February 8 due to illness. Clark County School District will be closed Thursday, February 7.

Here is a list of closures for Wednesday, February 6:

All schools in the Teton School District 401 will be closed for the rest of the week. Ririe School District 252 will be closed Wednesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 7. Officials say they will try to reschedule all extracurricular activities. Firth School District 59 will also be closed Wednesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 7. Jefferson School District 251 and White Pine Charter School in Ammon are still closed Wednesday, February 6. Idaho Falls Humanitarian Center will be closed all day Wednesday, February 6 because of a heating problem.

and Chief Tahgee Elementary Academy is closed as well.

Classes have been canceled for all students in Jefferson School District 251 Tuesday and Wednesday due to student and staff illnesses. School will resume on Thursday, February 7.

White Pine Charter School will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to high absenteeism for illness.

The Idaho Falls Humanitarian Center will close its Tuesday evening youth session due to high rates of school-aged illness. It will be open during the day.

The Idaho Falls Humanitarian Center will close all of its programs Wednesday due to a heating problem in the building.

Shelley School District 60 and Taylor’s Crossing Charter School are also closed Monday and Tuesday, due to illnesses.

Firth School District 59 will be closing schools on February 6 and February 7 due to illnesses.

Bonneville School District 93 says Bus 26 will not run after school Tuesday. Bus 11 will not run on the hill in Comore Loma and Blackhawk but will run in the non-hill areas.

Ririe SD #252 will close school and try to reschedule all extracurricular activities Feb. 6 and Feb. 7. School will resume Friday morning. During this time steps will be taken to disinfect school buildings. Superintendent Chad Williams says if your child is still sick on Friday, please keep them home.

All schools at Teton School District 401 will be closed Feb. 6, Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 due to illness. All of the schools will be disinfected thoroughly while they are closed.

Superintendent of Schools Monte Woolstenhulme said to all, “This affects our entire community. Please take steps to stay home if you are sick and avoid contact with others.”

Monday:

Weather is causing a local school to shut its doors Monday, February 4th.

Fremont Joint School District 215 will not be holding classes due to road conditions.

There are also closures due to illness.

One of them is Firth School District 59.

This is the third school to be canceled for Monday because of all the sick kids.
