Idaho Falls man arrested for grand theft

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies came in contact with a 36-year-old living in a camp trailer believed to be stolen in the 900 W. block of Sunnyside Road Thursday.

The camp trailer Jonathan Mitch Wood was living in had been reported as stolen a couple weeks prior and had several identifying marks and registrations numbers consistent with information provided by the owner at the time it was stolen.

Deputies also discovered some of the identifying VIN and serial numbers had been removed from locations where they are commonly placed by the manufacturer.

Deputies interviewed Wood who provided unfounded information as to how he came into possession of the trailer.

Wood was placed under arrest and transported to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked for felony grand theft by possession of stolen property.

This case is still under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
