UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: Lower Valley Energy has repaired the problem. Officials say power should be restored.

Lower Valley Energy is reporting an equipment failure at a substation, creating a widespread electricity outage in the western Wyoming area.

Initial reports indicate outages from throughout Jackson and along Highway 22 to Spring Gulch Road.

Lower Valley has crews on the scene and are working to make repairs. There is no current time frame for restoration of power.
