A potent winter weather system is moving in for today and the rest of the week. Look for snow showers all day today, a break Thursday morning, before more snow and rain hits Thursday afternoon. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for Idaho and Wyoming through the next couple of days.

Wednesday: Snow showers with highs into the lower 30’s, with a south southwest wind 25 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Snow amounts will vary widely across the Snake Plain, ranging from a dusting to 5 inches.

Tonight: Scattered snow showers, with a low near 30 degrees. South wind 15 to 30 mph.

Thursday: Rain and snow likely, with a high into the mid to upper 30’s. South wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Friday: Snow showers, with a high into the mid 30’s.
