Extreme avalanche warning for two trails in Fremont County

Fremont County Emergency Management is warning of extreme avalanche hazards.

Keith Richey, the coordinator for Fremont County Emergency Management, is asking everyone to stay off the Twin Creek Trail and the Black Canyon Trail in Island Park.

In a Facebook post warning of the dangers on Saturday morning, the office said, “Not only do you risk your life, you risk the lives of our emergency responders by going into areas at risk of avalanches.”
