New proclamation recognizes registered dietitians

Today is officially the registered dietitian nutrients contribution to health awareness day. This is a proclamation by Governor Little. This proclamation recognizes registered dietitian contribute a lot of important value to the health care system and keeping Idahoans healthy. Directly consoling with a lifestyle modification by a registered dietitian nutritionist can reduce the risk of developing Type II diabetes By more than fifty percent. The proclamations state a shockingly high number of approximately 400,000, that’s one in three Idahoans who have pre-diabetes. Registered Dietitian Becky Sulik says, “That’s much higher than what it was about a few years ago but we do have a lot more people with diabetes.” For every dollar spent on nutrition services brings back the benefit of four dollars. So it is a cost-effective benefit. This is to help raise awareness and encourage Idahoans with any kind of health issue or those who just want to prevent diseases to consider seeking out a registered dietitian for some reliable nutrition advise and help. Sulik says, “A combination of healthy living but certainly focusing on healthy nutrition. We don’t need to be on rigged diets to accomplish that we just need to basically eat more healthy and move around more.” Southeast Idaho has many registered dietitians available.
