Locals run at their convenience with Fairy-Tail 5K

You’ve heard of 5K runs, but not many people have heard of a virtual 5K run. A group in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls called Moon Joggers is hosting a race to raise money while also providing convenience to runners. Feb. 26 is Tell A Fairy Tale Story Day. To celebrate the occasion, the Moon Joggers are holding their first virtual 5K run which starts today. Proceeds will go to an organization called Ferst Readers. Ferst Readers caters to local communities to prepare preschool children for reading and learning success. The race doesn’t have a specific start or end location. Contenders are able to run in their neighborhood, local park, or their local gym to complete the race. Juliana Walters, Personal Trainer at the Apple Athletics Club says, “There are a million different reasons why people join 5Ks. Most people are wanting to get into fitness. It’s a short distance, and it’s something anyone can do with just a little training.” This year’s theme is Little Red Riding Hood. There is still time to join the race if you are interested. Here are the likens where you can still buy tickets. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2019-fairy-tale-5k-idaho-falls-tickets-53576029346 https://www.eventa.us/events/iona-id/2019-fairy-tale-5k-twin-falls
