Extreme avalanche danger near Ketchum
Avalanche danger is reported as “extreme” tonight and Wednesday.
The US Forest Service Sawtooth Avalanche Center said it is continuing an “Avalanche Warning” through Thursday morning. The center said it will review the warning at that time.
Danger will remain extreme as another wave of warm, heavy snow and rain hits the area.
Several avalanches have run to the valley floor, blocking roads and impacting at least two homes south of Ketchum.
