Floodadvisory issued for Jefferson and Bingham Counties

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a flood advisory for snowmelt in southwestern Jefferson County until Friday afternoon.

Emergency management reported snowmelt causing minor flooding from around Roberts to Mud Lake Wednesday afternoon. Snowmelt is causing ponding of pastureland and some roads are covered in flood waters.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Terreton, Roberts, Mud Lake, Hamer and Sage Junction.

The county reports 2600 East from County Line to 200 North is closed due to flood conditions.

A flood advisory for snowmelt in southwestern Bingham County has also been issued.

Emergency management reported snowmelt causing minor flooding across portions of western Bingham County including the Thomas area Tuesday.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Western American Falls Reservoir, Aberdeen, Springfield, Rockford, Moreland, Pingree and Sterling.
