I-15 interchange project open for public review

As the Idaho Transportation Department makes plans for improvements to the Exit 113 intersection with Interstate 15, the agency will meet the public Wednesday.

The work will include improvements to the intersection ramps to address increasing congestion. ITD also wants to improve safety and mobility. The plans include intersection roundabouts as well as lengthened ramps.

ITD’s preferred alternative will be open for comment. Construction is expected to begin in 2022.

“The current congestion at the ramp intersections causes increased traffic delays which in turn slow down mobility,” said ITD Program Manager Troy Williams. “The public’s engagement on this project will help ensure the improvements meet expectations.”

An open house is scheduled Wednesday, March 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the River Elementary School in Shelley (1463 N. 800 E.)
