2 INL women to be honored Wednesday

Two eastern Idaho women are among 50 who will be recognized Wednesday as 2019 Idaho Women of the Year by the Idaho Business Review. Both work at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).

Toni L. Coleman Carter joined the INL as the Inclusion and Diversity Strategy Director in October 2016. She came to Idaho after a 23-year career at Motorola Solutins in Chicago, Ill. “I love helping people to maximize their potential and to feel like INL is a place where they can bring their best self to work,” said Carter. “That’s what inspires me to come to work each day.”

Dr. Catherine Riddle was selected for the honor for the second time, earning her a place in the “Circle of Excellence.” Riddle is a radiochemist and 20-year veteran at INL. She is deeply involved in STEM outreach programs. She describes herself as an intern who never left. “As an intern, I fell in love with INL and radiochemistry,” she said.

The women will be honored at a gala at Boise Centre West on Wednesday. One of the 50 honorees will be selected as “Woman of the Year.”
