Museum of Idaho offers once-in-a-lifetime trip
Looking for fun summer plans? Well, look no further because the Museum of Idaho is offering an adventure of a lifetime.
The museum is putting together a trip for 20 people to spend seven days in Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique.
People will get the chance to take wildlife drives, go on walking safaris, as well as enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing and much more.
“We have a connection to Gorongosa already. The founder of the Museum of Idaho, Greg Carr, is the head of The Gorongosa Restoration Project in Africa,” said Jeff Carr, director of public relations for the museum. “He approached us with an idea to organize trips for people in Eastern Idaho to go down and see it. We actually get inquiries all the time of, ‘How can I get down there?’ and we thought, ‘Well, we can make it easier.'”
It is a flat rate of $3,100 to $3,800 per person, depending on lodging choices. This rate helps cover activities, meals, accommodations and travel between Johannesburg and Gorongosa.
Travel to and from Johannesburg, South Africa, is not included.
To reserve a spot on the trip, participants must register and pay a $500-per-person deposit to the museum by May 1.
