Stormy weather late Tuesday and Early Wednesday

A quiet Tuesday morning and afternoon for Eastern Idaho, before a storm rolls in quickly late Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Central Idaho will see the showers first for Tuesday afternoon. There’s hint of a convergence zone in the Snake River Plain. That zone could put down 1-2″ of snow early Wednesday. However, the snow will be isolated and not everyone will see accumulating snowfall.

Tuesday: Sunny for the morning and early afternoon with highs into the lower 40’s. Tuesday night, scattered snow showers, mainly after midnight. lows into the lower 20’s. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: A chance of snow and rain with highs into the mid to upper 30’s. Gusty winds, 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday & Friday: Mostly sunny with highs into the upper 30’s and lower 40’s.
