Rexburg water tower vandalized

Police are looking for whoever turned one city’s water tower into a billboard.

The graffiti artist wrote the words, “Save Ferris” on the tower on South Second East in Rexburg.

Police think the culprit climbed up 116 feet last Friday.

“Save Ferris” most likely refers to the movie ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ — where fellow student’s started a campaign to save another student’s life who’s pretending to be sick.

It could also refer to a California band who named themselves ‘Save Ferris’ after that movie.

That band is about to release their first ever live record on vinyl.

If you have any information on who may be responsible for this, call the Rexburg Police Department at 208-359-3000.

Crews are painting over the vandalism.
