Police seek information about trailer theft

The Rexburg Police Department is seeking your help with a case involving the theft of a car hauler trailer.

The 2018 Big Bubba’s 7’x16′ car hauler trailer was taken from the shared parking lot of Wolfe Lighting and Smart Cents Auto Sales in the early evening hours of March 5, 2019, in Rexburg.

Police are looking for a light-colored pick-up truck, possibly a four-door style cab, that was occupied with at least two subjects at that time.

There may be fresh damage to the left side of the trailer, possibly the fender area, as the trailer struck a stationary trailer that was parked next to it when the suspects drove off with the trailer.

Below is a photo of a trailer that is similar to the one stolen.Idaho license plate of ZRR 473 was affixed to the trailer. The last four digits to the VIN number are 9647.

The value of the trailer is approximately $2,500.

If you have any information about the person(s) responsible for the theft or know the whereabouts of the trailer, please contact the Rexburg Police Department at 208-359-3008 or you can leave an anonymous tip via email at rpd@rexburg.org
