Idaho Falls Zoo and Art Museum teamed up to educate young spring breakers

For many students, spring break is this week.

The Idaho Falls Zoo and Idaho Falls Art Museum have teamed up to educate 40 lucky students for four days.

It is the third year the two have paired to educate young students, but this is the first year the zoo is running this program in its new education center.

Ian Wilson, Interpreting Coordinator Educator at the Idaho Falls Zoo said, “I think it’s important that people know how many different alternative education sites there are here in Eastern Idaho, specifically here in Idaho Falls. There’s a lot of people that come to all of our zoo programs but have never been over to the museum, and vice versa. It gives them a chance to see how much there is to offer here in the community.”

The program is already full for this week with twenty students in two classes; however, they are holding a similar program this summer and next spring.
