Woman reacts to murder near home

Two teenage boys in California were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Arlyne Koehler.

People living on Mckinley Avenue in Pocatello, where the murder happened, say they are frightened.

One woman living there, came closer to the killers than she realized.

” Why did they pick the front of my house? It’s scary to think. ” Said Evelyn Adams.

Adams talked to police about what was happening in her neighborhood what she found out was terrifying.

They said her 87-year-old neighbor had been murdered and that they thought the suspects, parked their car in front of her house before walking around the corner and stabbing her neighbor.

” It’s really bothered me, it still did, I was so upset last night, ” said Adams. ” But they wore me out so I did sleep. I have lived here for, I am the original owner of it for 68 years. I have never had anything like this. ”

Police also think at least one of the suspects was hurt during the attack and there was a trail of blood leading from the murder scene to Evelyn’s front sidewalk.

” They check it all the way down, and they figured what he told me was that the car was parked right here and when he stopped to open the door that’s when he bled there. ” Said Adams.

If that blood is from one of the suspects, it could contain valuable DNA evidence.

” After he quit talking to me I came out and checked it which you would and a detective came and said, ‘Don’t you touch that blood because we are going to take a test from it’ ” , said Adams.

Evelyn says she will continue locking her doors like she always has, but no longer feels safe in her neighborhood.

She does fell better know the suspects have been caught.

Police are not releasing many details surrounding the case because it is still under investigation.
