3 hurt in US 20 crash

Update: 3-29 3:35 a .. m.

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on US 20 at milepost 318, near the Bonneville-Jefferson County Line Road at 8:22 p.m. Thursday.

Idaho State Police said Drew Weathermon , 20, of Ammon was westbound in a 2001 GMC pickup pulling a trailer. They said the trailer detached, went through the median and into the eastbound lanes.

Jacob Amrein , 28, of Blackfoot was eastbound in a 2005 GMC Yukon, also pulling a flatbed utility trailer. Amrein’s vehicle was struck by the loose trailer and rolled onto its side.

Amrien’s passengers, identified as Brett Stocking, 54, Danielle Beebe, 25, and a juvenile, all of Blackfoot, were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for about two hours.

Multiple agencies are responding to an accident on Highway 20 between Ucon and Rigby that is blocking traffic.

Officials are asking drivers to find a different route if they are heading to that area.
