UPDATE: Man arrested in case of missing Custer County man

UPDATE 3/30/19 7:21 p.m..: The Custer County Sheriff’s Office says a man was arrested involved in the case of a Charles McBride.

Benjamin J. Savage was taken into custody Saturday afternoon at the Idaho Falls airport on a Custer County warrant.

He is currently being held at the Bonneville County jail.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Custer County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police found the body of missing 23-year-old Charles (Charlie) McBride buried and burned in the Morgan Creek Drainage Sunday evening.

The body was taken to Boise where an autopsy was performed and the body was identified as McBride.

He was last seen on February 25 going to work.

Police say there are several persons of interest being interviewed, and the ongoing investigation is being treated as a homicide.
