Tetonia man hospitalized after pickup rollover

A Tetonia man was hospitalized after his pickup rolled near the intersection of State Highways 32 and 33, near Tetonia at 10:47 p.m. Friday.

Idaho State Police said Gary Matkin, 21, was westbound on Highway 33 in a 2000 Ford F-350. According to ISP, Matkin lost control of the pickup and it went off the north side of the highway and into a field. The pickup rolled and came to rest on its top.

Matkin was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. He was taken to Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs by ground ambulance and later transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. His condition was unknown.
