Man, 2 women charged for roles in fatal shooting

UPDATE 9:40 a.m.: Authorities say a man and two women have been charged for their roles in a triple shooting in Boise that killed a 19-year-old woman.

Boise police say Anthony Joseph Alcala of Meridian was booked Monday into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder after Briana Martinez was killed and two others were hospitalized in a shooting late Sunday on the Boise Bench.

Alcala has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon or instrument in addition to second-degree murder.

Boise residents Taja Ra McMurtrey-Winn and Jessica Lee Perez Timmons also were booked on felony charges of accessory to murder.

Authorities say the three are set for arraignment Tuesday.

The other two people shot, an adult woman and man, were listed in stable condition at an area hospital.

UPDATE 8:30 a.m.: Authorities say three suspects are in custody in connection with a triple shooting in Boise that killed a 19-year-old woman.

The Idaho Statesman reports two females and a male were arrested at a house in Meridian, according to Boise police. Their names weren’t released.

Authorities earlier identified the woman killed as Briana Martinez. Ada County Coroner Dotti Owens says Martinez died of a single gunshot wound.

Police found Martinez and the other two victims outside a home in Boise’s bench neighborhood after witnesses called 911 around midnight Monday to report they heard screaming and gunshots.

The other two people shot, an adult woman and man, were listed in stable condition at an area hospital Monday morning.

Boise police are still investigating motive, but say the shooting happened after a dispute between people who knew each other.

Martinez was one of three people shot at a Boise home around midnight Monday. The other two, an adult man and woman, were listed in stable condition at an area hospital on Monday morning.

Ada County Coroner Dotti Owens says Martinez died of a single gunshot wound.

Boise police say one person is dead and two others hospitalized after a shooting in Boise, and officers are still searching for the suspects.

Police officers went to the home in Boise’s bench neighborhood at about midnight Monday after witnesses called 911 to report they heard screaming and gunshots coming from the house.

The officers found three adults with gunshot injuries outside the home. One of the victims, an adult woman, died at a nearby hospital. The other two, a woman and a man, were hospitalized in stable condition Monday morning.

Police say the suspects had left the scene by the time officers arrived, and detectives are searching for them.

Police declined to release the names of the victims.
