Boise State to offer month to month tuition payments

Boise State University is teaming up with CapEd Credit Union to help students pay tuition in a different way.

The university will be offering month to month tuition payments for students who access online classes.

A BSU faculty member says they’ve been thinking about doing this service for many years now, but have finally made the push.

By offering this month to month way of paying, they say it’ll be in line with how the market is now.

“If you have a gym membership, subscription, people pay things on a month to month basis,” Associate Dean of Extended Studies Peter Risse said. “We thought this was an excellent way to help people identify a more affordable way to move forward with their education opportunities.”

Depending on how many credits a student wants to take per semester, Risse says there is a discount.

He added BSU is the only four-year university in the state to do a program like this.
