Woman arrested after crashing into building

A Pocatello woman is in custody after crashing her car into the Idaho Falls Pediatrics building at 1645 W. Pancheri Drive in Idaho Falls.

Idaho Falls Police were called to the building at around 6 p.m. Friday. They found Amanda Gould-Honena, 37, still in the driver’s seat after the car crashed into the building just left of the doorway. Gould-Honena was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The business was closed, so there were no injuries, but damage was substantial.

At the hospital, Gould-Honena was given a blood-alcohol test. According to police, she registered a .306. The legal limit is .08.

Gould-Honena was arrested for excessive Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Bonneville County Jail.
