Half-price dog licenses on sale from Pocatello Animal Services

For a limited time, Pocatello pet parents can license their pups for half off.

From now until the end of May, Pocatello Animal Services is offering $5 dog licenses for dogs that are spayed or neutered and $10 licenses for dogs that are not spayed or neutered.

Licenses can be purchased at the Pocatello Animal Shelter, City of Pocatello Mayor’s Office, and local veterinary offices.

“Licensing your dog as well as microchipping them are the best ways to help us identify your pet if they are ever at the shelter,” said Shaila McGuire, Volunteer Coordinator with Pocatello Animal Services. “If an owner has kept their information up to date with the license and the microchip, we can get pets home sooner rather than later.”

Residents with questions about the licensing process can contact shelter staff at 208-234-6156.

The Idaho Falls Animal Shelter is also running a cat adoption special May 1 to May 4. All cat adoptions are $50.
