One person killed and 4 injured in Fremont County crash

The driver of the Chevrolet Avalanche was Ryan Fuchs, 41, of Livermore, California. The victim has been identified as Maria Theresa Fuchs, 41, of Livermore, California. Next of kin have been notified.

One person was killed when the Chevy Avalanche he was riding in overturned on U.S. Highway 20 at milepost 380, near Harriman State Park south of Last Chance in Fremont County.

Idaho State Police said the victim was passenger in the vehicle that was westbound at around 9:14 p.m. Tuesday when it crossed into the eastbound lane, left the pavement, overturned, and came to rest on its top.

The passenger died at the scene. Two juvenile passengers were transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Avalanche and another juvenile passenger was transported to EIRMC by ground ambulance.

ISP said the names of the victims were withheld until family could be notified. All of those involved were wearing seat belts.

Correction: This story originally identified the victim of the crash as a man. It has been changed to more correctly identify the victim as ” an adult passenger ” .
