Blackrock Fire closes Blackrock Canyon entrance
The entrance to Blackrock Canyon has been blocked off, and you are asked to avoid the area while firefighters work to suppress the Blackrock Fire.
The lightning-caused fire is approximately at 5 acres. Containment is estimated for Friday at 6 p.m. and control is estimated for 10 p.m.
Firefighters will work with single-engine air tankers to build containment lines around it.
The Blackrock Fire started Friday around 2:40 p.m. It is about 3 miles east of Pocatello near Blackrock Canyon.
No structures are threatened at this time.
