Storm starts and stops North Hill fire

Firefighters contained the North Hill Fire, 8 miles southeast of Soda Springs, at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. A passing rain storm helped douse the lightning-caused fire, which was first reported at 6 p.m.

Firefighters will remain on the scene today to extinguish any remaining hot spots.

Before it went out, the fire had covered about 10 acres.
