Idaho Falls man dies in crash near Rigby
A 21-year-old Idaho Falls man was killed at around 7 p.m. Friday after he lost control of his pickup near a Highway 20 construction site.
Idaho State Policed said Kanden D. Mathie was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound near the Lorenzo Bridge construction site at milepost 325.
They said Mathie drove the pickup into the center median, lost control, and drove back onto the highway. The vehicle hit a guardrail and overturned before rolling down the embankment.
Mathie was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the pickup. He died at the scene.
The off ramp was blocked for about a hour and 45 minutes.
