Broulim’s acquires Teton Pharmacy
Broulim Supermarkets, LLC announced Tuesday it has acquired Teton Clinical Pharmacy, Inc. of Idaho Falls. The transaction was official Monday.
Teton Clinical has offered prescription service, compounding, and bubble packing services in the Idaho Falls area for the past decade. It operates two locations in Ammon, on Jafer Court and 17th Street and one in Idaho Falls at 1855 W. Broadway.
According to Broulim’s, which operates eight in-store pharmacies in eastern Idaho and Afton, Wyoming, the merger will increase access to health care services in the region. Broulim’s will add point-of-care services to the Teton Pharmacy locations, including health screenings, pharmacist prescribed treatments for strep throat, urinary tract infections, flu, cold sores, and travel sickness.
The 17th Street location of Teton Pharmacy will be remodeled to make room for a new compounding room and bubble-packing operation. Joe Brown has been named Pharmacy Manager.
The Jafer Court location will ultimately be closed and pharmacy records will be transferred to the Broulim’s grocery store at 2730 E.Sunnyside.
Minor changes are planned at the 1855 W Broadway location. Michelle Misko has been named Manager and Kim Kohler will serve as staff pharmacist.
“We are excited to be able to retain all of the pharmacy staff members from Teton Pharmacy and our team is working very hard to make this transition as smooth as possible,” said Marcus Hurst, Pharmacy Supervisor for Broulim’s Fresh Foods. “Both companies are passionate about serving our community and our combined expertise will make for a top notch pharmacy business.”
