Chubbuck and ITD make plans for cabinet replacement

The signal cabinet that controls traffic at the intersection of Chubbuck Road and Yellowstone Avenue (US 91) was heavily damaged in a car accident last winter.

Despite the damage, the cabinet was still in working order.

Now, the Idaho Transportation Department is teaming up with the city of Chubbuck to replace the cabinet this Sunday.

The traffic signal at the intersection will be turned off until the replacement is complete. Flaggers and traffic controls will be in place to help direct travelers until the work is complete. The work will begin at 5 a.m. and should be done in one day.
