Jeff Roper’s Saturday Night Forecast

The great East Idaho Cool Off has begun! You’ll notice night temperatures headed into the 50’s tonight and mild conditions. Then tomorrow, a cold front pushes through the area and highs will be in the 70’s for most. 78 for Idaho Falls and Pocatello, then we push lows into the 40’s and even upper 30’s for Jackson. These fall-like temps will last into Monday with highs back to the upper 80’s by Wednesday before another wave creates move breezy weather and lowers temps into the upper 70’s. Normal highs for this time of the year is 87.

We will experience winds 20+ mph tonight and tomorrow, and especially gusty around any thunderstorms that we include in a 40% chance for Salmon, Mackay, Challis and the Central Mountains.
