Firearm blamed for another range fire
The Idaho Falls Fire Department was first to respond to a small range fire about 23 miles west of Idaho Falls on the Arco Highway.
Because the fire was located on the Bonneville County Fire Protection District boundary, Idaho National Laboratory and Bureau of Land Management firefighters also responded at around 1:48 p.m. Tuesday. It was fully contained by 2:36 p.m.
The fire was apparently started from a spark as the result of someone shooting a firearm in the area.
No structures were threatened and Idaho Falls firefighters were on the scene to monitor the fire for hot spots.
