Jackson construction projects begin Monday

A couple of construction projects may create some traffic concerns in Jackson.

Lower Valley Energy is making plans to place an underground natural gas line along Spring Gulch Road. Digging on the project will begin Monday, August 19. The project will continue into November.

The work could affect commuters bound for the Jackson Hole Airport. Delays of up to 15 minutes may be possible.

A popular walking area will also be closed Monday. The Walton Levee at Emily’s Pond will be closed until the end of the month while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rehabilitates it.

The parking lot at the pond will remain open, as will access to the pathway bridge over the Snake River.
