ORIGINAL:

The Idaho Falls Fire Department reports firefighters are arriving on scene in the area of 13000 N. 55th E. in Bonneville County for a partially cut grain field fire.

The call came in at 4:28 p.m. and was reported at 30 acres at that time.

Tractors are working the perimeter while firefighters are working on the north flank to keep the fire from extending into more uncut grain fields.

There are no structures threatened at this time, but there is a lot of heat associated with the fire and thick smoke.

Two ambulances, an engine, brush trucks, a HEMTT and a battalion chief are on scene.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is also on scene and will be closing off roads in the area. Please use alternate routes.
