South Boulevard meeting set tonight

Idaho Falls Public Works Department will meet with the public tonight to review their comments on South Boulevard.

It is the second of two public meetings focusing on recent changes to the street. The first was held earlier this summer and focused on last year’s road striping, which included the addition of a center turn lane and bicycle lanes between 17th Street and Sunnyside Road.

After studying vehicle speed and volume through the area and the utilization of bike and turn lanes, city staff will present the results and answer questions about the project.

The meeting is set from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Maeck Education Center at the Idaho Falls Zoo.
