Firefighters keep canal fire from getting into apartments
The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to a fire along a canal bank in the area of 900 Hoopes Avenue behind the Summer Hill apartment complex around 4:50 p.m. Monday.
The fire burned some brush and vinyl fencing between two apartment complexes, but firefighters kept it from getting into the apartments.
No injuries were reported.
The cause is unknown at this time.
Two engines, an ambulance and a battalion chief responded.
