Expect rough waters near one Snake River Bridge

The Wyoming Department of Transportation is warning tubers and other water users to use caution on a portion of the Snake River near Jackson.

Because of construction activity at the Snake River Bridge north of the KOA campground, the velocity of the flow and the size of the waves hae increased substantially.

“This section of the river is typically used by fisherman and inner-tubers, who generally do not expect or are unprepared for rough waters. We want to warn everyone and make sure that everyone knows what to expect and can prepare accordingly,” said WYDOT project engineer Dave Kaufman.
